You must have seen that Every Delhi Girl In The World video by the hilarious YouTube channel, BeingIndian! The good people out there then released a Bombay counterpart (because obviously) and it’s so true, it hurts! Really, as a Bombay girl, at first I was like ‘No way‘! Then I was like ‘Maybe…‘ and after watching it the third time (yes that’s the amount of hardwork I put in kids, learn something) I was like ‘dude, this is true but we’re still better than Delhi girls‘. What do you think?

I will humbly accept that yes, more or less most of us Bombay girls are similar ;) What do you think?

East India Comedy, the comedy collective which includes some of the finest stand-up comedians of our country: Sorabh Pant, Kunal Rao, Sapan Verma, Sahil Shah, Atul Khatri and Azeem Banatwalla have come up with this brilliant new video: Wrecking God! Based on the Miley Cyrus chartbuster Wrecking Ball, these guys changed the lyrics and basically voiced all the feelings we have while  festivities disrupt our daily lives, all in the name of God.

This video might just hurt a few sentiments here and there, but come on guys! Use the emotions and the energy for a better cause (as mentioned in the video below).

Kudos to the guys to come up with something so wonderful and so close to what we all feel while getting stuck in traffic jams, being leched at and many of the side-effects that come with drunk, rowdy men dancing on the streets!

Team MissMalini’s Trip To Sula Vineyards

At MissMalini.com, we do a whole bunch of fun things! We have days when we go out interviewing our favourite stars, we get chances to get fun makeovers, attend some super cool parties and sometime, we get to do something that tops everything I just mentioned. Team MissMalini went on a road trip, our very first offsite, and we went to the beautiful Sula Vineyards in Nashik. For three days, we did nothing but hang by the pool, throw a party in Malini & Nowshad’s suite, take part in a massive treasure hunt and ok yes, the obsessive bloggers that we all are, we worked a bit too. So all in all, it was the perfect mid-week weekend for Team MM and here’s a bit of what everyone loved the most from the trip.

Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai

It’s a wonderful day for the Indian subcontinent as India’s Kailash Satyarthi and Pakistani teenager Malala Yousafzai were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize today “for their struggle against the suppression of children and young people and for the right of all children to education“. Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian children’s rights activist, has been active in the movement against child labour since the 1990s,  and together with Malala Yousafzai (who should have been awarded the Nobel Prize last year) they have made our Indian subcontinent proud and how! Kailash is the seventh Nobel Prize Winner from India and only the second Indian to win the Nobel Peace Prize after Mother Teresa. For Malala, it’s such a wonderful achievement to inspire so many people at the age of 17! At 17 all I could do was try to figure how to clear my logic paper. Trust America to have a school for babies who are being taught to DJ! Yep, the country where dreams come true has taken things a notch higher by having a Baby DJ School open at Brooklyn in New York City! No wonder everyone loves New York. How did I discover this? I didn’t, my best friend who studies there (lets call her Margaery Tyrell from Game Of Thrones for legal reasons, and also because she’d love to be called that) sent me this video where babies are made to learn this art with DJ consoles and stuff. Obviously she knew I’d love it and of course I do! Check it out.

Sounds fun, but I don’t really know how healthy it is for toddlers to work with that kind of sound equipment. Still, the video made me laugh so did the description of the video which goes like:

“Hey, how’s your baby doin’? What kind of music is it listening to? Kidz Bop? The Wiggles? Fuckin’ Raffi and shit? Well, that might be fine for some people’s kids—if they want them to crawl through life without taste or musical development. Rickshaws and I have a love-hate relationship. They’re like those douchebag boyfriends who refuse to acknowledge you when you’re pining for their attention, but swarm around like flies when you decide that you’re better off without them. Seriously, for the longest time I was under the impression that I am a rickshaw-repellent (apart from being a man-repellent, of course) because they’d just say no! But, if they do feel benevolent and decide to take your sorry ass to your destination, there are extremely valuable life-lessons you can totally learn from them. All you need to do is pay attention, and learn how to derive meaning from vague sentences. Or just get high… yeah, that’s easier. So go have your preferred spirit (if I suggest anything else, it will be deemed illegal and I will be put in jail) and have a look at some of these amazing life lessons you can learn from rickshaws. Trust me, you’ll understand!

Umm, well, this is awkward. You’re probably assuming since I’m writing this list, it’s all been tried and tested. Well let me stop you there – not ALL of these have been done! Some of them are just things we randomly think about when we’re scouting for topics to write about. Basically what I’m trying to say is, when we face that annoying bout of writer’s block, this is the end result. So before it hits again (and I really hope for your sake that it doesn’t) here are a bunch of things you shouldn’t attempt to do while you’re in the buff.

1. Appear on a TV Show

Why is this even on the list? I’m so glad you asked! Did you know there’s a reality dating show, quite like The Bachelor, but with one tiny little difference? All the contestants are butt naked. Since we tend to take ideas from the west, I wouldn’t be surprised if they made this show here – so if anyone asks you to join, I’d suggest you say “Hell no!”

I wasn’t kidding, this actually exists!

2. Light Candles

Remember Ugly Naked Guy from Friends? Do I need to say more? Also, heat, hot wax, naked? Complete no-no.

3. Fry Anything

Oh this hurts just thinking about it! If you really want some bacon or fries, just order it like a normal person! A normal naked person.

4. Bend Over

Especially not when you’re with someone.

I tried, I really did.

5. Clean the Windows

Unless those windows are tinted. Another thing you shouldn’t do is have sex with the windows open. You never know when there’s a pesky kid testing out his new pair of binoculars on the neighbours.

6. Go Snorkelling

As I was writing this, I was informed that fish tend to go for your privates when they’re exposed. I don’t think this is something anyone wants to experience.

7. Exercise

Because that’s just too distracting. Things would just fly all over the place – there’s a reason they invented sports bras.

8. Iron clothes

Uh guys, If your ironing boards are at the same level as your you-know-what, I suggest you didn’t do this.

This is just wrong!

9. Play twister

This is very different from strip poker. Very, very different.

This just seems unsafe

10. Use Heat Products

This is like ironing, but for women. The last thing you need is your curler brushing against somethings or a hair iron clamping on things other than your hair. I died a little just while writing this, so having it actually happen could be torture!

One Of Each

Since I’m the resident “beauty” blogger at Team MissMalini, I thought it my duty to assess the beauty of these beautiful men in the beautiful field of stand-up comedy. Too much beauty, no? Yeah no, this has nothing to do with our beauty section, but it’s a list that really had to be made because have you seen them?! They’re gorgeous and hilarious. So really, just perfect boyfriend material, or so we believe.

Also, all the comedians that haven’t been included: you guys are hot too … no really; we’ll take you too. Funny makes up for everything. Of course, ‘Can we have you?’ isn’t the point of this post. Pretentious Movie Reviews have me ROFL-ing every time I watch one. And then I re-watch some because it’s the best mood picker upper. We love men who can lift our moods. And we love men with gorgeous bone structure who have adorable expressions when they’re reviewing iconic, so-good-its-bad movies.

We know he’s become an ishtarrr thanks to Weirdass Comedy Consultancy (even his website oozes of hilarious-ness), but he did start his career in stand up and we’ve loved him from the start. He’s got that quirky, seductive appeal girls just can’t get enough of. #startedfromthebottomnowwehere

4) Sapan Verma

First off, let me just say, we were obsessed with Wrecking God for quite some time. That shit was HI-EFFING-LARIOUS and so on point. East India Comedy: you guys are always on point. Needless to say, we love all of them. But there’s something about that Sapan guy. Woh sapno mein aata hai. See what I did there? No? Bad one? Since I’m obviously not the comedian here, I’m just trying to say, you’re hot.

5) Khamba

No, we’re not favoring AIB. We can’t help the fact that they’ve just got a lot of sexy men. That Section 377 video with Imran Khan was a real treat for the eyes. Oh wait, Khamba wasn’t in that video, ehh. GKhamba sounds so rapper-like and this office knows how much I love everything hip-hop related. Just like that angry, yet seductive, I’m-a-gangsta expression he always has on his face. #broodinglooks

6) Varun Thakur

Okay, Varun Thakur seems like the kind of guy who doesn’t realize how cute he is, which makes him that much cuter. He’s probably the cutest ch*t*ya we’ve ever seen, which brings us to: Are You A Ch*t*ya? Everything in that video absolutely had to be said. #Amen

7) Nitin Mirani

Hot, witty, and well groomed? He’s like the love child of Ranveer Singh and Shah Rukh Khan. I really didn’t know how to describe it better. He’s totally got the looks of a Bollywood star.
